For the fourth consecutive year, Muir Orthopaedic Specialists (MOS) of Walnut Creek, California sent a team to participate in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.
Each year Team MOS walks in honor of staff members, friends and family in their battle against breast cancer. Every step of the way is a personal and an inspiring opportunity for the cause.
The 2013 Making Strides walk was held at Heather Farm Park in Walnut Creek on Saturday, June 22. Team MOS raised $5,834 at this year’s event.
Since 1993, 8 million walkers across the country have raised more than $460 million through Making Strides events. MOS and others’ donations directly help more than 2.5 million breast cancer survivors continue to celebrate their birthdays and further the American Cancer Society’s vision of a world where breast cancer never steals another year from anyone’s life.
