Rehabilitation & physical therapy
Muir Orthopaedic Specialists’ rehabilitation team employs a functional outcomes philosophy, taking advantage of recent advances in spinal and total body testing to contain the costs of rehabilitation. Our 13 physical therapists and seven physical therapy assistants work in partnership with MDs to fine tune post-operative treatments as well as communicate progress for non-surgical care.
The Rehabilitation Center provides care to all outpatient orthopedic injuries with an active treatment program that focuses on “Getting Better and Returning to Activity.” The program utilizes manual skills and suitable modalities to allow for pain reduction and entrance into the strengthening program. With our extensive array of objective data and therapies, we can bring patients back to full function after injury.
The Rehabilitation Center utilizes the latest technology and techniques in physical therapy, including:
- Alter-G anti-gravity treadmill
- MedX exercise equipment
- BackStrong low back strengthening
- McKenzie Spine Evaluation and Treatment
- Heated Pool & Aqua-therapy
